A cars air conditioning system operates like its cooling system. The AC condenser is similar
The hot air in the interior of a vehichle is removed using the AC condenser which is similar to a radiator and can be found right in front of the radiator. The AC Condenser is aluminum with many coils, much like a radiator. Freon travels through these coils, and in between these coils are small slits or fins that the Freon is forced through. An electric cooling fan mounted in front or behind the condenser to push or pull air through these fins to release the heat from the Freon.
Refrigerant gas enters the AC condenser to release the heat it has absorbed from the inside of your vehicle. The gas vapors enter the AC condenser and "condenses" it to liquid as it cools.
An annual inspection of your AC condenser for leaks or possible road damange is important to ensure that when the weather gets warm your AC will keep you cool and comfortable.
